WEATHERING THE STORM: prospects and opportunities in Asia 2021 and beyond

Updated: Oct 29, 2020

In a spinoff from last years' highly successful event, 'Is Volatility the Name of the Game for the Remainder of 2019?', CanCham Singapore convened another fantastic expert panel for a very well attended virtual event.

The event featured Peter Hall, Vice-President and Chief Economist of Export Development Canada who gave a fantastic presentation on "The Global Outlook and Asia", where he shared his outlook for the global economy in relation to COVID-19. We also welcomed returning panelists Michael Bociurkiw, Global Affairs Analyst and CNN Opinion contributor, joining us from Canada and Chi-Jia Tschang, Senior Director, Bower Group Asia, from Hong Kong, who among other global affairs, shared deep insights into the political situation in Hong Kong and China. We were also pleased to welcome Dane Chamorro, Partner, Control Risks in Singapore and Julia Lee Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Burman Invest, from Sydney Australia. The event was moderated by esteemed journalist and broadcaster, Teymoor Nabili, CEO of Tech For Impact, who kept the audience engaged throughout the duration of the event.

In case you missed it, you may follow this link to view the slides from the event.

For those of you who are interested in more specific market opportunities, we encourage you to contact Richard Dubuc, Senior Trade Commissioner at the High Commission of Canada in Singapore. Richard’s contact details can be found in the slide deck.
