The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore was pleased to host our Back to Business Event on the evening of September 25th, 2024 at the Galbraith Ballroom of The American Club Singapore.
The event was kicked off by our President, Caroline Berube, who welcomed attendees to the evening's event, introduced first time attendees to the 5-pillars of Canada, updated everybody as to new CanCham corporate members 1880, Atkins Realis, Bombardier, Base Entertainment and 10 new Canadian alumni members.
This was followed by remarks from His Excellency Jean-Dominique Ieraci, High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.
We also had speeches by Kamran Azim, CFA, Chief Operating Officer at RBC and one of our sponsors, Christine Constantin, Senior Commissioner of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore, Xiang Liang Chan, Regional Manager at Export Development Canada, Kevin Leung, President of the Canadian Alumni Network Singapore (CANsg), Cory Dickson, Vice-President of the Canadian Association of Singapore and Allan Weston, Head of School at the Canadian International School in Singapore.
There was a lucky prize draw presented by Chantal Prud'homme, CEO of Base Entertainment Asia where 3 winners won a flight simulator experience courtesy of CAE, tickets from Base Entertainment Asia for both the Miss Saigon musical and Illumi and 3 tote bags from Tim Hortons.
The night provided a great opportunity for our new members to meet our CanCham members and representatives of the 5 Canadian pillars.
