CanCham concluded another successful round of the twice-yearly Behind Closed Doors
session on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in an intimate setting, over luncheon, at Swissôtel The
Stamford.
The event began with a brief opening address by Caroline Berube, President of CanCham,
and a round of introductions by the 15 participants. Following that, H.E. Jean-Dominique
Ieraci, High Commissioner of Canada to Singapore, and Christine Constantin, Senior Trade
Commissioner from the High Commission of Canada in Singapore, shared the latest
initiatives between Canada and Singapore and their views on how the latest United States
tariffs could affect other countries.

This led to a spirited discussion among participants centered on how current global
uncertainties could affect the world at large, which continued in small groups even after the
session drew to a close.
