With an impressive track record of building more than 100 companies since 1972, Sir Terry will share with us what it takes to grow companies successfully. In addition, Sir Terry will outline his views of global trends and his intent to contribute to the emerging Asia Pacific innovation eco-system.
Guest Speaker

Sir Terry Matthews is the founder and Chairman of Wesley Clover International, a global investment management firm and holding company. Since 1972, Terry has founded or funded more than 100 companies. Terry’s first company, Mitel, is now a world leader in the communications systems and software industry. Terry also founded Newbridge Networks, which became a leading international data networking supplier.
Today, Wesley Clover has interests in a range of next-generation ICT companies, as well as in commercial and leisure real estate properties. Terry is Chairman of several of these private and publicly traded companies and is a Director on the Boards of others.
Terry holds an honours degree in electronics from the University of Wales, is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and in 2001, as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours, he was awarded a Knighthood.
