Business Development Manager, A-P Based in Singapore

We are a boutique establishment, and all our work is done collaboratively and in concert with the principal of the firm.

Our growth in Asia now requires a strong Business Development Manager, which will be pivotal for our future success, responsible primarily for identifying additional clients and supporting our current regional client base.

The BD Manager will work to further develop client strategies which address career success, whether through workshops, training, executive coaching, or public speaking engagements. The BD manager will help further advocate and engage client relationships through relevant client and market research, data and communication

Reporting Line
Direct report to the founder of the Horan Group, based in Singapore

Responsibilities
− Directly participate in all aspects of key client accounts, and quickly become knowledgeable to client needs and
requirements
− Develop additional business through network, database and current client base
− Contribute to existing client work through research, writing, and external activities
− Research a wide range of topics, prepare relevant briefs for clients, client proposals or other written material
− Keep our principal briefed of any regional information that may impact on a new or existing client

Requirements
− 5+ years relevant business development work experience
− Undergraduate degree required, relevant advanced degree a plus
− Outstanding English communication skills; clear and concise writing, along with strong listening skills, are
essential
− Fluency is another Asian language is helpful.
− Desire to be an outstanding professional BD practitioner.
− Ability to interact with senior corporate clients and [with guidance] provide proactive strategic advice and
seamless operational support
− Ability and ease in working independently is essential–this is not an “office job.”

− Sound judgment, EQ, knows how to deal with setbacks
− Intellectually curious with an ability to engage across cultures and seniority
− Can work on sensitive and time-critical issues reasonably well
− Self-motivated and entrepreneurial and collaborative
− Well-organised and can operate autonomously
− Able to take forward multiple projects simultaneously, balancing well under deadlines
− Comfortable with database research management; IT skills should include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
− Knows how and when to laugh
