Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a significant pillar of Singapore’s economy, making up 99 percent of all businesses, employing nearly seven out of ten workers and contributing close to half of Singapore’s national GDP. A strong and growing SME community is essential to building a resilient and competitive Singapore economy.
The annual SME Convention is a carefully crafted event, dedicated to address the needs of the SME community. Each year the programmes are curated to provide SMEs with tangible information, that seeks to help SMEs build capabilities and access markets.
While the economy is easing into a state of stability, sentiments on the ground are generally still clouded with uncertainties. Instead of taking the traditional stance of waiting out to ride through the storm, there is an increasingly need for local businesses to leverage on new vehicles and tools for expansion and growth.
The theme for 2017 installment is simple, but vital. “Opportunities In 2018" aims to equip the delegates with actionable outcomes, to better position themselves for growth.
